Debbie is a post graduate certified sensory integration practitioner and is able to offer sensory Integration assessment & treatment utilising a range of resources.

Sensory Integration Assessment & Treatment

Referral’s for children and/or adults who may have autism, attachment and/or motocordination difficulties related difficulties impacting upon sensory processing will be accepted. 

Referrals can come directly from parents, CCG’s, NHS, schools and local authorities departments which could include: looked after children or adoption teams

Assessment may involve: 

  • Interview and assessment history 
  • Completion of a variety of sensory profiles or measures in different environmental settings home, school clubs for comparison
  • Structured and/or un-structured clinical observations
  • Specialist Assessments e.g. Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) and/or VMI (Visual Motor Integration) testing

The outcome of the combined assessment tools will inevitably guide the treatment for the child or adult which might include:

  • ASI (Ayre’s sensory Integration) therapy 
  • Sensory-based strategies
  • Sensory diet
  • Emotional regulation
  • Sensory ladders

Following assessment and/ or treatment a comprehensive report can be completed to evidence and underpin any EHCP recommendations that need to be implemented for the child.
